Welcome to Dar a Luz Network.

Dar a luz is the Spanish phrase for giving birth. The literal translation means "to bring to the light." We love this name for its two meanings because Dar a Luz Network is about pregnancy and birth and also about bringing new light to our often unconscious ideas about pregnancy, birthing and parenting.

Because pregnancy and birth are such powerful and life-changing events for women and their families, Dar a Luz believes every woman deserves the broadest range of evidence-based information and unconditional support in the choices she makes for her pregnancy and birth.

Dar a Luz Network does not promote a specific style of birthing. Our mottos are simple:

"PRO INFORMATION" and "PRO SUPPORT."

If you are looking for information or support, we invite you to explore our website, especially our Pregnancy/Birthing Info page, join us at a local meeting (to find a Chapter near you, please go to Locate a Chapter, or call us with any questions or concerns (845-282-0177).
